I Love Peanut Butter

Yes, I am a 30 something woman who loves the perennial kid favorite, Peanut Butter. When I was a kid I think I had PB&J every day. I will eat it out of the jar given the chance. Peanut butter cookies, peanut butter sauce for ice cream, those addictive buckeye's, and of course Reese's Cups!!!!! Well being that I am a lifetime Weight Watcher a lot of PB doesn't fit. (BOO-HISS) Well I have come up with a recipe that incorporates PB into a slightly more grown up dish than PB&J with the crusts cut off.

Enter WW Friendly Peanut Noodles

Ingredients:
1 tbl+1tsp Better'n Peanut Butter
(A great thing for WW and Peanut Butter lovers, 2tbl has only 2gm of fat)
1tsp Bragg's Amino Acid
(I use this in place of soy sauce, which is exactly what it tastes like, except it only has 160 mg of sodium as opposed to soy sauce which has 1005mg per serving)
1/2 tsp Habanero Pepper Sauce
( I like things spicy, feel free to amend or omit)
1/4 tsp Crushed Ginger
Pinch Garlic Powder
Black Pepper to Taste
1 cup mixed veggies
(I used onion, yellow pepper, amd broccoli slaw)
1 cup Ronzoni Smart Taste Spaghetti, Cooked

Combine 1st 4 ingredients in a microwave safe bowl
Microwave for 20 sec or until you can stir together. Set aside.
Heat a small sautee pan over med high heat. Spray with cooking spray and sautee veggies till tender

Add spaghetti to pan and toss to combine. Cook until spaghetti is hot.

Remove from heat and add sauce. Toss to coat spaghetti and veggies with sauce. Enjoy!

Prepared as is, 6 WW Points Plus.

A Busy Weekend!

Whew! I'm almost glad tomorrow is Monday! We had a busy weekend here, between social engagements and the fact I went to 3 grocery stores and Wally World and couldn't get everything on my list, I am spent. On Friday we went to a surprise 30th, which was a blast. This is the cake I made for him:

Saturday was my round the world grocery adventure and dinner at my in-laws (my SIL made the yummiest lasagna, veggie for me, of course) Today we continued the attic cleaning and I worked on my newest fave craft, hair bows!! They are so expensive at Gymboree, I used the instructions here
They are awesome!!! Thank you for all of the great tutorials. Here are some of the ones I made

Hope you have a good week!

My Newest Craft Obsession

I had never played with Mod Podge... I know hard to believe, but true. So while at Michael's last week, I picked up a bottle. Then what to do with it? I had the wooden "smile" in my cube since I started in July, and I love it but it kept falling over. So also while at Michael's I picked up a $1 wooden frame. One piece of matching scrapbook paper and my glue gun later voila! One pretty cute picture frame for my "bug". I of course now have 3 more in the works. One thing I have found is thicker paper works better than thin.
Happy Crafting

Valentine's Day Easy Peasy Craft

I hate to admit it but Valentine's Day isn't my favorite. My thought is that the people you love should know it everyday. The expectation level set on Valentine's Day by the commercial world we live in seems slightly ridiculous to me. Don't get me wrong, I gave hubby and "bug" both fun cards and bug got a small gift and, yes, I did get flowers, (not some monstrous arrangement of roses that probably cost the GNP of some developing country) a very nice bunch of tulips (my fave). But my favorite part of the day was going out with friends for a great dinner and hanging out with the best thing in my life, my family. Anywhooo... on to the craft. Saturday I went to my fabulous scrapbooking class, taught by a wonderful Close To My Heart rep and she showed us how to make a Bag-a-lope. Not sure I spelled that right, but oh well. Here is mine:

She had already put together the front decorations, but they are simple. Patterned paper mounted on cardstock with heart punch out attached. She embellished with tiny hearts, sparkles and the words so sweet. Totally a cute gift card holder or party favor. I loved it. The instructions are on my tutorial page. Hope you like it.
